We can learn a lot from Mother Nature. On a local drive to Seatuck today, I spotted a family of Canadian geese by the side of a pond. Mama duck was leading the pack while Papa duck followed behind. The ducklings were like little soldiers marching in between in natural harmony. Seatuck is a wildlife sanctuary open to the public located in the town of Islip.
Now that Spring has finally warmed up, we can spend time outside to see the wildlife that gives birth this time of year. Ducks are especially visible as we are surrounded by so much water on Long Island. In this season, we are reminded of rebirth when not only plants, trees, and flowers come back to life, but just about everything around us. As if the magnificence of this season isn't enough, there's a total lunar eclipse and a full blood moon this week to dazzle you. Oh my!
When I feel down, I look up at the sky. As my eyes gaze upward, the tall trees reveal life, too. There are squirrels and racoons, and the birds and the bees flutter around. If you stop and pay attention, nature shows us the natural order of things. It has a sequence that is perfect.
No matter what age we are, we can always learn something new by spending time in the natural world. It is our greatest teacher. All of the elements seem to come together to create a perfect symphony as Mother Nature conducts with her natural wand at the helm.
Peace and Love,
