The Bay Shore Historical Society will meet on Thursday, August 21st, 2025, at 7:00 PM at the Bay Shore - Brightwaters Public Library (1 South Country Rd., Brightwaters, NY)

Join us as we welcome back J.K. Hodge for another fun film night and lecture. Mr. Hodge will dive into fascinating sports patents and play live on piano to Buster Keaton's film “College.” Mr. Hodge will talk on different sports patents, inventors, inventions, and how our favorite pastimes came into fruition. The lecture will be followed by a silent film that portrays Buster Keaton competing in numerous sporting events.
