Coping

By now, many of you are familiar with my style of writing here on SLTN. I consider it a column because I can interject my opinion on the things I write about. It suits my style. Many of you also know that I have a first Monday-of-the-month vlog called 60 and Beyond with Skylark on my YouTube Channel, Skylark Live. This is where I talk about a variety of topics on life over 60. My own turning 60 is what inspired my vlog because I wanted to share some of the things I was thinking about and the emotions I was beginning to feel about this mature age. I hope those of you who are watching my vlog are finding value in it. I will continue to write poetic articles here, but I will also feature more topics geared to the 60 and beyond age group that will be reflected in my monthly vlog. So please subscribe to my SLTN newsletter and subscribe to my Skylark Live YouTube Channel to stay in the know. I'd like to ask you, my readers, what you would like me to talk about? Perhaps there's some information that you want on a particular topic, or something you'd like me to discuss. Please let me know by commenting below. This newsfeed and my vlog are for you, and I would like to be your advocate for things pertaining to aging well, mind, body, and soul.

It's a privilege to grow older, and these years can be some of the best years yet. It depends on how we cope with them. I'll leave you with my thoughts on coping. When I feel overwhelmed, some of the things I do are take a walk, pray, meditate, exercise, go to the beach, take a drive, listen to great music, call a friend, or have a good cry. Coping comes in many forms, and it's different for everyone. Coping is to deal with problems or difficulties, especially with a degree of success. That's the key. You want to be successful as you cope with problems that come your way so you can see them through to the best you!

I'm looking forward to reading some of your feedback. You can also email me at christineskylark@aol.com. Thank you for your love and support.

Peace and Love,

Skylark
