Let Your Light Shine Around Bay Shore, and Beyond

There is so much beauty around Bay Shore. On a recent walk, I couldn't help but notice the beauty in a random light post, and the way the light cast itself through the darkness. It can feel like a torch lighting our way.

I live near a busy hospital and hear sirens throughout the night. Sometimes when I'm lying in my bed, I can see the reflection of the red lights flashing against my wall as the ambulance buzzes past my building along Main Street. But I always remember that there is light even in the darkness. As the screaming sirens dim as they make their way to the hospital entrance nearby, I say a little prayer and shine my light in its direction.

Tuesday night is the Waning Gibbous phase of the Moon. Our guiding light. Our partner in the crisp winter sky. We are never alone. The constant Moon is always with us in the dark, casting her light upon us to guide us, comfort us, watch over us, and protect us. Like a beacon of hope, she hovers above close enough for us to see her face, and far enough to shine upon all the earth.

Let your light shine wherever you are for all to see in your town, and beyond.
