Hello and Happy Thursday! It's almost the weekend! The weather has been extraordinary, and today is no exception. The Autumn sun, with its warm glow, invigorates and energizes us, and the Hunter's Moon illuminates October skies. It is truly a vision to behold. Tonight's Sunset is at 6:07pm with the Moonrise at 6:24pm. One of the best places to catch this natural spectacle is at The Bay Shore Marina. Overlooking the Great South Bay and Fire Island, the view can't be beat. If you're lucky, you can spot Uranus, too. The Moon will set at 7:02am, so it will guide us throughout our slumber. What a dreamy guardian she is.
Gardiner Park in West Bay Shore comes alive this weekend with the 7th Annual Suffolk County Freedom Fest. The festival runs from Saturday, October 23 through Sunday, October 24 from 10:00am - 3:00pm each day and features live music, food trucks, craft beer, family activities, local vendors, and artisans. It's sure to be a beautiful weekend with the weather forecast in the 60's. Come one, come all to Gardiner Park this fall! Bring the entire family and let's have some fun together! See you there!
