It is said that people who shine from within don't need the spotlight. I'd have to agree. Did you ever meet someone that had such positive energy emanating from them that you were drawn to them? We can all be that way if we let out inner light shine.
To me, love is the most important thing we can focus on. With all the turbulence in the world today, love can become the main focus if we let it. Love is a deep feeling of intense affection. It's also a great interest or pleasure in something we enjoy doing as in a game we like to play. When we hear the word love, we often think of romantic love. According to the ancient Greeks, there are eight types of love:
Philia — Affectionate Love. Philia is love without romantic attraction and occurs between friends or family members.
Pragma — Enduring Love.
Storge — Familiar Love.
Eros — Romantic Love.
Ludus — Playful Love.
Mania — Obsessive Love.
Philautia — Self Love.
Agape — Selfless Love.
What if we all started to make love the focus of our lives? Can you imagine what would happen? Love is not just a feeling, it's an action, too. Some examples of love that come to mind are paying for a customer that's online in front of you in the grocery store. Love is letting someone go first. Love is holding a door for someone or carrying their bags for them. Love is buying someone a gift or sending them flowers just because. Most likely, we've all done one or all of these at some point in our lives. What if we made it a habit? If you think about it, love is part of every encounter we have and every relationship we engage in.
Love is our driving force. It's what makes us get up each morning. It's what drives us to achieve. It's what we all want. It's what we can all give. Love is free. Love is easy. Love makes the world go round.
Peace and Love,
Skylark
