Trusting that you are on the right path is not always easy. We can become doubtful and find ourselves questioning our journey. We can become impatient and want to give up. I have always believed that if you can see it, you can create it. Most of us have heard of creative visualization, but how does it work?
Creative visualization is the cognitive process of purposefully generating visual mental imagery, with eyes open or closed, simulating or recreating visual perception, in order to maintain, inspect, and transform those images, consequently modifying their associated emotions or feelings with intent to experience a subsequent beneficial physiological, psychological, or social effect, such as expediting the healing of wounds to the body, minimizing physical pain, alleviating emotional stress including anxiety, sorrow, sadness, and low mood, improving self-esteem or self-confidence and enhancing the capacity to cope when interacting with others. That's the technical description.
I'm pretty sure most of us have used creative visualization at some point in our lives while being unaware of it. A good example is going for an interview. We may prep the night before by visually taking ourselves through the motions while creating the environment in our minds. We can visually walk ourselves through the process of getting dressed, fixing our hair, and even taking ourselves to the interview. Maybe we've actually visualized some of the things we might see along the way, or emotions we may feel. This can be very helpful. It's the same with your personal journey. You can use creative visualization to see where you want to go in your life. You can call on colors, scents, feelings, and desires that take you to your ultimate destination. Essentially, you can create a new world for yourself in your mind. Once that's done, patience is essential as providence sets in. Ah, providence. It's the assistance that comes to our aid once we commit ourselves to an idea or pursuit. It's like the law of attraction, but that's for another time.
Creative visualization works. It has become a vital and necessary tool for everything I choose to create. Patience, trust, creative visualization, and providence. These are the main ingredients that can help you along your journey, too. All you have to do is begin it.
Peace and Love,
Skylark
