The Bay Shore Marina is a perfect place to star gaze. I took a ride there Wednesday evening just after sunset to watch the Crescent Moon with Saturn, Jupiter, and Venus hovering nearby. As I peered through my binoculars, I could see the craters of the Moon. It appears so close. While I stood there in the cool, breezy night air, I found myself wondering how these heavenly bodies stay in mid-air. It's really quite something to contemplate, and I was filled with awe. What a glorious sight. After a long day, this is the perfect way to unwind, and the Bay Shore Marina is the perfect respite. We are so lucky to have this beautiful, open space that looks out on Fire Island and the Robert Moses Bridge. It never ceases to amaze and inspire. This is a crown jewel in our town by the sea. Come and see for yourself.
