SKYLARK'S ARTICLE OF THE WEEK - EXOTIC LANDS
Whether it's Mont Saint-Michel in France or a temple in Thailand, exotic lands await. Visiting these far-off places can be worth the hassle of flying there. I've heard stories.
I can't say I'm a world traveler, but in my mind, I am. I've been to the trifecta: London, Paris, Rome, and beyond, but not the Far East. I dream of visiting India and South Africa. I think I would fit in there.
My home is filled with exotic decor from around the world. Some I've purchased while other items were given to me by my sister, Joanne. She's a world traveler. I love to hear her stories. She seems to be at her happiest when she's traveling. She is very brave.
When I was a child, my family and I would take drives to New York City. It's just about an hour from where I grew up. As soon as I saw the skyline, I knew we were in an exotic land. Entering the midtown tunnel was a passageway to the land of Manhattan. The skyscrapers looked like Oz. Planet Manhattan as I came to call it. People from everywhere were everywhere. The noise. The smells. It was all so, well, exotic. And that's where I wanted to live when I grew up.

Manhattan is a culmination of such diversity. It has a unique energy. You don't have to go far to feel like you have traveled to a distant place. And yet, it feels at home. Somehow everyone fits in. Whether you're a wealthy businessperson or a working-class dog, the Big Apple has a slice of life for everyone. It feels like the most fantastic carnival in the world.
Manhattan can be best described as a place where the ordinary and the extraordinary blend seamlessly, creating an atmosphere of perpetual enchantment. Its cinematic, literary, and commercial celebrity gives it a heightened sense of personality, turning even the most common streets into scenes from a fantasy. The skyline, with its soaring skyscrapers and historic brownstones, seems to hold secrets — each building a potential portal to another world. That's the exotic land of Manhattan.
Peace and Love,
Skylark

MY BRAND - SKYLARK LIVE
I created my brand, Skylark Live, when I turned 60 years old and noticed a profound shift in this age. I wanted to talk about it and share what I was experiencing with the hope of helping other women as well. My brand consists of a weekly newsletter and a monthly vlog designed to motivate and inspire women over 60 to thrive in mature ageing through knowledge and self-awareness. I am open to conducting in-person conversations called The Skylark Sessions. These can be held in someone’s home or at a local library or senior center. To be continued.
Skylark Live Weekly Newsletter - My weekly newsletter, 60 and Beyond with Skylark - Living Life Inside and Outside the Home, features articles about human interest, nature, general observations, inspiration, goals, motivation, places I've been to, and ideas I want to explore. I'm open to ideas of what to write about, so let me know. I represent Bay Shore and towns beyond. There is also a calendar of events. I throw in Italian words, too, because I love the language and all things Italian. Bella Italia! As a paid subscriber, you will receive my newsletter each week in your email. That gives you a head's up. You can also advertise your business or event on my newsletter. Just click this link to subscribe: For updates, subscribe to our free newsletter! You can also become a paying subscriber.
Skylark Live Monthly Vlog - My first Monday-of-the month vlog is a recap of the articles I've written in my newsletter throughout the previous month. Then, I introduce a unique topic for the current month's vlog. You can find some of my vlogs on my YouTube channel. I also post them on my social media platforms.
