The Bay Shore Historical Society will meet on Wednesday, June 18th, 2025, at 7:00 PM at the Bay Shore - Brightwaters Public Library (1 South Country Rd., Brightwaters, NY)
To acknowledge Juneteenth, guest special speaker Reynard Burns will present “Remembering and honoring the Tuskegee Airmen”. Reynard Burns composed the musical exhibit “Flight” on the Tuskegee Airmen and compiled interviews and historical data on the airmen for the Islip Arts Council exhibit. Mr. Burns served as a teacher and orchestra director in the Bay Shore School district for over 40 Years.
Please note that this meeting will take place on the third Wednesday of June (June 18th) since the library will be closed on June 19th in celebration of Juneteenth.
