Grammy-nominated Professor Louie and The Crowmatix, along with The Uptown Horns, perform The Band's repertoire, learned directly from the band, and songs that Louie helped create with them, including their comeback hit, "Atlantic City." Louie collaborated with The Band for over fifteen years, co-producing The Band’s last three CDs.

Professor Louie and The Crowmatix began as the studio backing band for Aaron Professor Louie’s musical productions for The Band. Rick Danko, bass player, and singer of The Band, christened him Professor Louie due to his work with The Band and individual members.

The Uptown Horns' work is legendary, having toured and recorded with some of the most highly regarded rock ‘n’ roll artists in the music industry, including The Rolling Stones, Joe Cocker, and more. Professor Louie & The Crowmatix are extremely excited to have The Uptown Horns join them for this special performance, featuring horn arrangements by Allen Toussaint, “Bones” Malone, Howard Johnson, and The Crowmatix.

The Music Of The Band Show has a diverse set list with songs by The Band, Bob Dylan, and songs from the 17 CDs by Prof. Louie and The Crowmatix released on Woodstock Records. The show will also feature Long Island’s own Jimmy Fleming.

Professor Louie has emerged in the music industry as the torchbearer of the true spirit of American Roots Music. Professor Louie and The Crowmatix have been inducted into The New York State Blues Hall of Fame and hold a permanent place in The Canada South Blues Museum. Professor Louie is a recipient of The Robert H. Chambers Award for Excellence in the Traditional Arts from Common Ground on the Hill in MD
