Visit Sagtikos Manor and take a tour of the house where you will learn about its 300+ years of history. Sagtikos Manor was built in 1697 and expanded in 1772 and 1902. George Washington slept here in 1790 on his tour of Long Island. The estate served as headquarters for the British Army on the Island for a brief time during the Revolutionary War.
While you're on the estate, take a walk through the beautiful peony garden and surrounding grounds.
