An Oasis of Wine, Food, and Events in Downtown Bay Shore at Fire Island Vines (FIV)

Image

Fire Island Vines (FIV) brings wines from the North and South forks of Long Island to the heart of Bay Shore. FIV is an oasis of wine, food, and events that features a winery, wine bar, and tap room that is host to a variety of events including wine tastings, wine tours, classes, showers, weddings, art exhibits, live music, and much more. Priding themselves on being a family-owned business, owners Angelo and Tessie Crisci opened FIV just before the pandemic hit in 2020, and they are finding their stride this year. The name, Fire Island Vines, comes from the Crisci’s love of Fire Island and wine. The pairing makes for an original combination of place and passion in downtown Bay Shore, and the Crisci’s believe in supporting local businesses. Coming from years of experience in the wine business, FIV offers a unique environment with local flavor. The moment you enter Fire Island Vines, you feel as though you’ve stepped into a Fire Island beach house that is casual, relaxed, and cheerful. FIV offers a variety of wines and craft beer, and small plates for your palate. This open, airy space has plenty of seating inside and out and is a destination you’ll want to visit again and again.

On Sunday, I attended Sip and Un-Wine at Fire Island Vines. This eclectic event, curated by Jose Tutavin of Colored Colors, brought art, music, and community together. It featured a vendor market, a women’s panel talk, live music by local musicians, and of course, wine. There was a warm, natural flow of people that gathered for a colorful afternoon together to share their love of the arts.

Check out more upcoming events from Fire Island Vines and Colored Colors. Thank you.
